A Spiritual Awakening that Changed Everything

Her journey of transformation began in 2012 when her then college-aged son asked her a life-altering question: What if everything you believe is wrong, and you’re crazy? That moment opened a crack in her belief system and catalyzed a spiritual unraveling. What followed was a profound process of questioning everything she thought was true—about God, marriage, her role as a woman, and her own worth.

Seven months later, on her 48th birthday during a yoga class, she experienced a soul-deep realization: There’s absolutely nothing wrong with me. That moment became the foundation for what would eventually become THE C.R.E.A.T.E. FRAMEWORK™

A Life in Motion: Becoming a Digital Nomad at 57

At 57, Marcela embarked on a life-changing journey as a digital nomad, spending 20 months traveling solo 90% of the time through 12 countries and 70 cities. While that may sound bold, the road to independence didn’t begin with a suitcase—it started with a much smaller act: taking herself to the movies alone.

Learning to enjoy her own company began in theaters and expanded to concerts, restaurants, and cultural events. These small acts of courage built the foundation for her solo travels. Dining alone, advocating for herself in foreign countries, and confronting societal expectations about women being alone in public—all became part of her personal liberation.

Becoming a digital nomad wasn’t about escape. It was a homecoming—to herself. Today, she encourages women to take the first step, however small. Whether it’s going to the movies or booking a solo flight, every step toward independence is a step toward becoming the woman of your dreams.
